Preppy Skull-Print Pants

I’ve been coveting various items made with this brilliant fabric, so I decided to at least get a pair of pants in my Sims game.

The mesh is Adele’s great “tailored pants with boots” mesh, which is available at her site. It also uses her textures as the base for this texture.

I find that one ironic pair of embroidered pants is enough for me, so I’m not going to make recolors. If you want to make some, leave a comment with your e-mail and I can send you the skulls and de-pinstriped pants textures in a layered .psd.

This package replaces the female “hairlong” hair. It uses Nouk’s armywife hair as the base for the texture.

This hair replaces three mirror hairs, in addition to the basic colors. Long - freaked has been replaced with a dark violet, Long - streaked has been replaced with a pink and blond streaked color, and Platinum Blond is still Platinum Blond.

14 recolors of melodie9’s all-ages long female hair.

All colors are binned and geneticized. No family groups, since everyone picks and chooses different colors. You can make the family group of your dreams with JFade’s Wardrobe Wrangler, if that’s an issue for you.

The texture uses Nouk’s armywife hair as the base for my retexture. Thanks to Nouk for such generous terms of use!

This package replaces the female “shortcute” hair. It uses one of Nouk’s textures as the base, and has been alpha-edited around the face to lighten up the texture.

This hair replaces two mirror hairs, in addition to the basic colors. Frosty Purple has been replaced with a rich raspberry color, and Frosty Blond has been replaced with a deep navy blue.

Default replacement hair: male "closecropped/kinkypuff"

This package covers the male “closecropped” and toddler “kinkypuff” hairs, since they use the same textures. I have no idea why they did it that way. This default package has a flat bumpmap, since my video card does not handle bumpmaps, and I added a bit of a fade up the back.

Some skintones do not have matching scalp textures, so make sure you check the back of your Sim’s head before using this hair.

Default replacement hair: male "hairsixty" using Louis' Kyoh hair alpha.

OK! A default replacement hair. This is a replacement for the male bowl cut, AKA “hairsixty,” “long bowl,” “coconut hair,” and “the nerdiest basegame hair.”

I used Louis’ alpha for the Kyoh hair for this, with a new texture. It looks very fine and slightly fluffy in-game (silky just wasn’t possible with the existing UV map, sorry). Hair colors match the ones I used for the NRP defaults, more or less.

This hair has a four-part alpha, so the file is huge, and it took a lot of fiddling and redirecting on my part to make this work. In the event that you have a mesh that looks for the game texture for this hair, I also replaced that. It won’t show up in the default replacement, but it’s available in case anything starts looking for the original texture. The main difference is that it’s a little shaggier around the ears.

Nine retextures of the male base-game buzz cut — no mesh needed. The back has a cleaned-up alpha with a nice fade (pic). Since I can't see bumpmaps, I’ve set this one to flat so people who can won’t think their Sims have some sort of skin disease.
